Now that you've communicated your needs to friends and family, it's time to get organized.
Think of planning a wedding as a series of building blocks. Some brides have a tendency to get caught up in the little details at the very beginning; favors, invitations and flowers.
To be truly organized, take care of these four basics first and in order.
- Lay the foundation (the budget). How much do you plan to spend?
- Fill the foundation (create a guest list). You can't select a location unless you know how many guests are attending.
- Set the date. Have two or three dates, actually. Your favorite wedding location may not be available on your first choice.
- Pick a location.
Okay. We're ready to start planning your wedding. Relax. You can do this. Enjoy!
